Are you a theatre novice who’s considering jumping onto the stage and into the spotlight? Or perhaps you performed in years past, and now you long for the chance to act again. Either way, FSLT’s open-door philosophy welcomes all — no experience required. Here’s your chance to join the fun and take a bow.
1 – Even if you do not wish to audition for an on-stage role, you are encouraged to come to auditions to learn about volunteer opportunities. You can meet the show’s Director and offer to help backstage.
2 – Generally, auditions only involve cold readings from the script. Any other audition requirements will be listed below.

Synopsis: In this Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Blanche, a fading Southern belle, arrives in New Orleans to reside with her sister, Stella, and Stella’s husband, Stanley, who live barely above squalor. Their apartment becomes a pressure cooker of sensuality and class tensions as Stanley blames Blanche for the loss of his wife’s inheritance. Tensions ultimately erupt, producing some iconic theatrical scenes.

Main Characters
• Blanche DuBois: Stella’s older sister, a fragile and former high school English teacher who hides her lost fortune, age, and troubled past behind an aristocratic illusion.
• Stanley Kowalski: Stella’s rough, aggressive, and fiercely masculine husband who works as a factory parts salesman and clashes directly with Blanche’s pretensions.
• Stella Kowalski: Blanche’s younger sister and Stanley’s wife, who is pregnant and torn between her loyalty to her sister or her husband.
• Harold “Mitch” Mitchell: Stanley’s poker-playing army friend who courts Blanche.
