Are you a theatre novice who’s considering jumping onto the stage and into the spotlight? Or perhaps you performed in years past, and now you long for the chance to act again. Either way, FSLT’s open-door philosophy welcomes all — no experience required. Here’s your chance to join the fun and take a bow.
1 – Even if you do not wish to audition for an on-stage role, you are encouraged to come to auditions to learn about volunteer opportunities. You can meet the show’s Director and offer to help backstage.
2 – Generally, auditions only involve cold readings from the script. Any other audition requirements will be listed below.

Synopsis: As the ladies of Silver Meadows Retirement Home are preparing for Christmas, a scheming mogul plans to evict them and convert their home into a hotel. But when the tycoon’s son arrives to deliver the news, he finds his old flame Kate is Silver Meadows’ manager. Heartrending and hilarious, the wise and witty Belles deliver the gift of laughter, tears, and old-fashioned Christmas magic.
Character Descriptions:
NICK – a young man who works at Davenport & Associates; has dueling loyalties
KATE – the general manager at Silver Meadows; cares deeply about her work
MEGAN – a new and energetic nurse at Silver Meadows
STEVE – a sometimes lazy but well-meaning nurse at Silver Meadows
FRANK – local mogul, Nick’s father
JERRY – Frank’s loyal lackey

CLARA – the heart of Silver Meadows, often lives in the past
YOUNG CLARA – Clara in her late teens/early twenties
VIVIENNE – a fun and flirty lady; once a B movie star
HARRIET – kind and grandmotherly, always thinking of family
PEARL – a feisty old broad with a chip on her shoulder
GERTIE – sweet, naive, and hard of hearing

Synopsis: Dewey Frye is dead, and the rest of his family is left to pick up the pieces – that is if they don’t kill each other first. A family funeral becomes comically unforgettable as long-buried secrets, childhood rivalries, and Southern charm collide. Delivering lots of laughs, this Southern comedy proves funerals can bring families together, and maybe, tear them hilariously apart. Plenty of cackles and casseroles.
