COVID-19 Cancellation of FSLT’s Production “Annie”
In consideration of government directives regarding COVID-19, and the health and safety of our patrons and volunteers, it has become necessary for the Fort Smith Little Theatre to announce the cancellation of our summer musical “Annie”. The production was scheduled to open July 30; auditions were to begin May 18. It is our hope to include this production as part of Season 2021.
A directive from the Arkansas Department of Health and Governor Asa Hutchinson provided detailed regulations for theatres and other performance venues to reopen on May 18 on a limited basis. After careful consideration, it has been determined that compliance with those regulations would be an unacceptable challenge for our theatre.
We recognize that pandemic conditions and resulting regulations are fluid; therefore, we have chosen to make decisions about this 2020 season one production at a time. We will continue to closely monitor the regulations governing performing arts facilities and will consider possible scheduling options as they arise.
Once we know the full impact COVID-19 will have on this season of shows, a donation/refund policy will be offered to 2020 Season Pass Patrons. In the meantime, we ask Pass Patrons for their continued patience and trust. Should you have any concerns, please email to email@example.com or leave a message at 479.783.2966 (extn. 4).
We want to thank our loyal volunteers, patrons, and sponsors for their encouragement. Remember, this is not a final curtain for our 73-year old community theatre; it’s just a really long intermission. With your continued support, we will be back. So hold your applause!
